I want to wish my Mommy a very happy birthday today!
THANK YOU
... for all the love and care that you have showered me.
... for the many sleepless nights that you spent with me when I am not yet ready to sleep.
... for changing my nappies and for recognizing each time I poo.
... for feeding me even in the wee hours.
... for giving me fun tub baths.
... for seeing to it that I am okay and happy.
... for being there to witness all my milestones, big or small.
... for being a good wife to my daddy.
I hope God will bless you more each day!
I love you Mommy!

Ready to Strut my Stuff!
My knees are still wobbly but I am loving this new discovery of using my feet to move around the house. And I was able to make my first 8 strides, crossing the distance between our couch and the TV last Saturday, a couple of hours after I wrote a post about me not being able to walk yet. Daddy was watching Formula 1 on TV and Mommy was in the shower when it happened. Oh yes, Daddy saw me FIRST!
One, two, three... Walking is such exciting discovery!
And I was kicking my little soft ball too!
Maybe I'll make one great soccer player someday?
Isn't it lovely and funny how things unfold... and how surprising and unexpected life can be? As I have said before, I am in no rush to walk but Papa Jesus held me up and helped me to walk on my own two, happy little feet. My Mommy and Daddy were so delighted so that they couldn't take the camera off their hands just in case I would do another surprising thing. Hehehe!

Strutting My Stuff? NOT YET!
My contemporaries Yena and Yeung Lei have already achieved a major baby milestone, which is walking. Yena started walking two days before she turned 15 months while YL started earlier at 13 months.
Yena, squealing with laughter after walking towards Mommy Niko.
Yeung Lei, the little prince, proudly strutting his stuff.
I, on the other, cannot walk independently yet. But I can already stand on my own two feet without support, which is a great achievement for me. I also walk while holding on to the side of bed or the couch or while holding on to my parent's hands for support.
On my feet, playing with my spoon and food keeper.
All dressed up and ready for church.
Picking fruits? I am just practicing for
strawberry and grape-picking season!
So when will I start walking? You never can tell... I am not in a rush though. I enjoy crawling and walking with support alternately. And my 7th and 8th teeth are beginning to come out too! I guess that's a lot of milestones already!
I will definitely keep you posted with my developments. And I wish everyone a very happy weekend. We are going window shopping today and tomorrow, we might visit the Wilhelma Zoo after church! Yey!

Homeless For The Night
We were packing and moving our things into boxes and loading into trucks last month that there wasn't anything left in the house but empty rooms and walls. It felt like we suddenly became homeless. So where's a princess to stay for the night? Thanks to Dad's company perks, we got to spend the night at Royal Park Hotel at the Yokohama Landmark Tower. We were on the 74th floor, which was too high that our ears hurt when we got up. But I was so delighted because I had a lot of room to crawl and play around.
Very sound asleep in my un-princess like position.
A view from our room. Our camera didn't do
justice to the breathtaking view. Hehe!
The princess, all happy and awake after a good night's sleep.
Having a photo shoot here. Emote!
Very nice view of Minato Mirai from the hotel lobby.

Left Behind
What would you do if your train bound for the airport has already left and it was the last train for the day? Well, I would just chill it out, hang out at the train station and hope that someone will take me there. Hihihi! Well, I wouldn't have to worry about that because I'm still a baby. Let mommy and daddy do the worrying! Hehehe!
It was March 31st and we were scheduled to fly for Germany the next day. We were bound for Narita that day to spend the evening at ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel so that we will be very near the airport. But we were left behind by the train station for a number of reasons:
First. Mommy left my baby stroller at home. Daddy thought that she loaded it at the back of the car while he was locking the house. Oh NO!
Second. Daddy had to see the car-person where he will leave Lucy for good. He left us at the station while he turned over our car. He still had to go all the way back home to get my stroller and it was a good distance from the station.
Third. We didn't buy any tickets previously, which was a good thing, otherwise we would have spent twice for our transportation.
So what did I do with all that? I was just sitting it out and having a blast watching all those people passing by.

Ich Liebe Hello Kitty!
Oh yes, I love Hello Kitty! Mommy would sing me the song of the TV program in her "barok" way and I would go dancing! I just enjoy watching Hello Kitty, My Melody, Badz Manu and Cinamonroll do their antics. And I think they are really good friends who know to lift up each other's spirits when they are down, accept their differences and have fun! Too bad we didn't get to visit Sanrio Puroland in Tokyo before we left. I guess it's okay because I can't appreciate and enjoy the sights as much yet because I am still too young. When I'm older and can already walk, I'll ask Mommy and Daddy to take me there.
Anyway, Mommy took this video of me while watching the Hello Kitty program as it starts. And my, I was really dancing and stomping my feet! Hihihi!
Look at me, dancing while sitting. I can't stand long yet
as my knees are still weak that's why.
So close to the TV screen. Mommy can't stop me from
getting too near Hello Kitty and Friends.

A Surprise Visit
It was an early Wednesday morning in our house in Yokohama when the doorbell rang. Mommy wondered who could it be. She wasn't expecting anyone that early. And to me and my Mommy's surprise, it was Tita Kikit, a very good friend from Gifu. Daddy was expecting her though, since they talked on the phone the night before. Hehe!
We played together while Mommy was preparing breakfast. We played inai-inai-ba, the Japanese version of peek-a-boo! It was fun. She also sang me some songs and played with my favorite polar bear, Phoebe, then, when I got tired, I went back to sleep.
Who is Tita Kikit by the way? She is my parents' friend from college who is now living in Japan and works as an ALT (Assistant Language Teacher). She teaches English in Elementary and Junior High School. She also works part-time in a Ramen Restaurant in Gifu Prefecture. Tita Kikit also writes wonderfully. You can visit her blog at Kikit Avenue to read about her adventures and mis-adventures.

Mommy Needs Help
You may have noticed that my Mommy's blog has been down for a few weeks now. And she is quite unhappy about it and she is thinking of getting her own domain. Of course she will have to pay for it so that she must choose wisely. She will need help with which web hosting service to choose because the Internet is swamped with it. Could you please tell us which service you chose, the rate and the benefits? She will definitely appreciate it!
Many thanks in advance!

In Our New Home Sweet Home
This is just a quick post. I would like to let everyone know that we are already here in our new home sweet home. Lots of things have happened and I will tell them all once Mommy gives me the laptop. She is too busy arranging our stuff so that she has no time to sit down with me and help me write my post. I will be posting some photos soon too so please watch out for the that.
By the way, my Mommy's blog Just About Anything is currently unavailable. She doesn't know
yet why so while it's offline, she might write here from time to time as my guest writer.
Hope everyone has a happy weekend and I miss you all!
