We're Back!

Hello everyone! It has been a while! My apologies for not visiting back or for writing posts. I am back... actually since Saturday evening. The trip to Kyoto found me sick and we had to return home Saturday after another check-up from the doctor. I am still sick right now so this will just be very quick. Will post some nice photos of Kyoto soon once I am recovered. I will rest first since I am still so weak and have lost a lot of weight. Please pray that I will soon be up and running soon! Good night to all.

Cute Blogger Award & Some Travel Plans

Tita Rechie over at My HideAway is so thoughtful and sweet to be giving me this Cute Blogger Award. I promised I would post this yesterday but it took longer for me to answer...

You see, things have been kind of hectic here lately. Mommy is busy taking out winter clothes as it's going to be winter next month. And she is also preparing our itinerary for our trip to Kansai Region for a five-day vacation from November 27th till December 1st... We are going to see the autumn foliage in lovely and historical Kyoto and Nara and visit friends in charming Gifu and bustling Osaka.

I wonder when she will be able to relax...? After giving me my bath and putting me to sleep this morning, she was so serious and her eyes were fixed on the computer screen. The question remains, will she be able to finish everything on time? I know she's still got a long way to go. She hasn't even started packing up yet although her list is all ready. Plus she's got some ironing to do, household shores, blogging and EC dropping too! Good thing her personal blog is still in the process of being transfered to a new domain. Or else, she wouldn't be able to finish the itinerary. The good thing though when mommy is busy with other things is that she gives me some more leeway. Not that she's THAT strict. She even allowed me to grab whatever my hands can manage when she placed me on my walker when normally, she's got hawk eyes, ready to pounce on me should I grab something that I should not.

But anyway, enough of that. On to the Cute Blogger Award.

Here are the rules:
- Each blogger must post these rules.
- Each blogger starts with ten random facts/habits about themselves.
- Bloggers that are tagged need to write ten facts about themselves.
- You need to choose ten people to tag and list their names.
- Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and also to read your blog.

Here are my 10 random facts:
1. I enjoy watching Ruby Gloom and the credits after a show just makes me smile.
2. I clap my feet, not my hands, when something amuses me or excites me.
3. When I try to walk or crawl, I move backward and not forward!
4. I love eating my biscuits and milk wafers.
5. When mommy changes my nappy, I would turn on my stomach at the blink of an eye. This really frustrates her!
6. I was only 37 weeks and 2275 grams when I came out into this world. So tiny and fragile!
7. I love to sing especially when I am ready to drift off to dreamland.
8. I fart very loudly! You would think I'm an adult... :D
9. I don't like it when mommy puts something on my head... a hat, a bonnet, a headband... ANYTHING headwear.
10. My favorite gadgets are the phone, cell phones, and the remote control.

Now, I know I should tag other people and bestow this award to them. The list is yet to come though so watch out for it!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Reading (Almost!)

I was searching for my book this morning. It has been a while since I last saw it because mommy put it away somewhere. I keep bumping my head on the book's hardcover, you see.

So, what's the book called? It's called Nursery Tales, an interactive book with a stage that pops up in every page. And then, I found it! Safely tucked with Boo-Boo the black pig. :D

Hehe! I found the Nursery Tales mommy!

It's really fun and fascinating to watch the three little pigs and the big bad wolf almost come to life. And the three little pigs rhyme that mommy turned into a song was really fun! And of course, there was Hansel and Gretel and the gingerbread house. The gingerbread house on-stage just looked so yummy that I can't help but grab a bite!

Shh... I am reading... I mean pretending to read!

Of course, since I can't read yet, I opted to bang my hands on the book. I just love drumming my hands on just anything!

Trying to pull Hansel from the cage of the witch!

There were also Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Puss in Boots, and Little Red Riding Hood. I wonder who I will meet next time!?

Happy Dainty Feet

I am still trying to stand on my own two feet and learning to strut my stuff. But because my legs are still weak, I can only stand with my mommy's support or with my baby gym for now. And look at me! Almost on my own now... Mommy was so proud to see me standing alone with little support. And I am so happy too because my knees don't buckle that easily anymore. I guess I am growing up stronger everyday. Yipee!

Trying to keep it steady. Guess how long I lasted in this position?
Soon, I will be able to strut my stuff!

And then, I get to move around in my walker by dragging myself. I guess it is quite funny if you see me walking backwards with the aid of my walker. And mommy had me wear my teddy shoes because the floor is cold and so that my socks won't get soiled.

Trying to move around with my Baby Mickey & Minnie walker.

My dainty little footsies in my teddy shoes!

Mom and Dad Were Born in the Year of the Monkey

Yup! You heard me right! Mommy and Daddy were born in the Year of the Monkey.

I was just curious as to what happened the year they were born so that I grabbed this one from Mommy Iceah of Chicken Heart. Hope you don't mind my grabbing this one Mommy Iceah!

I tried to find out what happened the year I was born (2008) but it looks they still haven't got any in their database yet. The latest year they had on the list was 1995.

In 1980 (the year your parents were born)

Jimmy Carter is president of the US

President Carter announces punitive measures and embargoes against the USSR in retaliation for the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan

Mount St. Helens in Washington state erupts in a violent blast estimated to be 500 times as powerful as the Hiroshima atomic bomb

Ronald Reagan is elected the 40th US president in a sweeping victory

US Representative Michael O. Myers is expelled from the House for his role in the Abscam scandal

Hewlett-Packard announces release of its first personal computer

Microsoft announces their version of UNIX, Xenix

Christina Ricci, Chelsea Clinton, Venus Williams, Jessica Simpson, Macaulay Culkin, and Jake Gyllenhaal are born

Philadelphia Phllies win the World Series

Pittsburgh Steelers win Superbowl XIV

New York Islanders win the Stanley Cup

The Empire Strikes Back is the top grossing film

"Lady" by Kenny Rogers spends the most time at the top of the US charts

U.S. viewers get caught up in the "Who Shot J.R.?" cliff hanger on the soap opera series, Dallas, which is solved on a November 21 episode, drawing a record numbers of viewers

Looks interesting huh? But I think the events that took place happened in the US. I wish there were more info about what happened in the Philippines at this time. ;D

Come Dance With Me

It's dance time once again! Or maybe not! I don't know if you would call this a dance... it's more like bouncing! And there really wasn't any music playing. The TV was on and daddy was busy with the computer. Mommy was cheering and teasing me along. But it was fun... My apologies to daddy for dancing-bouncing so hard, I must have hit his ummm... (toothy grin!)

Blending In

I was playing with my mommy yesterday when she took these photos of me. Looks like I blended in with the sheets and blankets! Hehe!

Come mommy, give me a hug and let's go to sleep!

Hello everyone! Are you having fun out there? Because I am!

And because I am a curious little girl, I also played with mommy's mobile phone and tried to grab the digicam from her. Too bad she wouldn't allow me to play with it. But still, I had some fun!

Why is it taking so long for daddy to call? Hmmm...

Come on, Mom! Please let me take a look at my photos!
Or better yet, please hand me the cam.

I gave my mommy this sad stare so she would give me the cam.
I guess it didn't work.

Fun With Elmo

Here's something to brighten up your day. Hope you enjoy this video of Elmo entertaining me. This was taken at Mommy Sara's home in Tokyo. She was feeling blue so we decided to come for a visit and brighten up her day. And I guess, I was successful in bringing a smile on her face. And YES, I was indeed squealing with laughter! Hugs to all!

My! What BIG eyes you have Elmo!

Bonding With Daddy

Weekends mean I get to spend the whole day with my daddy since mommy has to got to work to teach English to Japanese professionals. Saturday mornings, we bring mommy to work and then after that, daddy and I have all the time to ourselves. Then at 7, we fetch mommy at work or at the station depending on my mood. :D

All covered up before going out... It's already chilly outside!

Then on Sundays, the family goes to church to hear mass and then we go to the mall or somewhere nice then eat out for lunch. In the afternoon, we take mommy to work again and then daddy and I will either go home or just drive around.

Oh, did I tell you that I love it so much when we go for a drive?

Going out for a drive. Don't get me wrong. I do enjoy going for drives.
Now, why do I look so serious here? Seriously...

And then, in the evenings, when we are all at home, we would just clown around and daddy would teach me how to dance. I will show you a video of one of my dances in my future posts.

I'm on top of the world! You know?!

Cuddling with my daddy! I just love him so much!

Showing off my two lower front teeth! And yes, my mommy made me wear this headband. So, how do I look? ;)

Momiji Season!

Momiji season is already here!

A closer look at the momiji.

Last Sunday, daddy took photos of this momiji tree (Japanese maple) which has already turned a shade of red. This tree was growing beside the church in Totsuka. They are so pretty aren't they? And I can't wait for the last week of November to arrive and visit Kyoto. There are millions of momiji there that Kyoto seems to be on fire because of it. I am absolutely sure that we'll have lots of fun there!

It Depends on WHOSE Hands It's In!

Here is sharing you something nice!

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19. A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million. It depends whose hands it's in!

A baseball in my hands is worth about $6. A baseball in Roger Clemens' hands is worth $475 million. It depends on whose hands it's in !

A tennis racket is useless in my hands..A tennis racket in Andre Agassi's hands is worth millions.
It depends whose hands it's in!

A rod in my hands will keep away an angry dog. A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea. It depends whose hands it's in !

A slingshot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A slingshot in David's hand is a mighty weapon. It depends whose hands it's in!

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in Jesus' hands will feed thousands. It depends whose hands it's in!

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will produce salvation for the entire world. It depends whose hands it's in!

As you see now, it depends whose hands it's in.

So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because...

It depends whose hands it's in!

God bless us all!

Naptime!

I am quite active now... wading in my parent's bed and lunging back and forth since I can't crawl yet (teehee!), playing with my toys and munching on them :D and trying to stand up with mommy's support or my mini-gym.

So what's a girl to do after an all day's play? Snooze of course!

Aren't I cute when I sleep?

I guess you could say I "totally surrendered to sleep" here.

Yikes! Looks like mommy got me here.... I was snoring softly here. :D

My 8th Month Day

I just love it when I celebrate and party! It matters not if it's a small party composing of just me, daddy and mommy as long as it's with the ones I love! So, what does a baby girl do on her 8th month?

This day (October 28th) being my 8th month day meant that I can have all the fun I want!

So I got to play with my toys to my hearts' content.

Look at me here, I am just plain HAPPY!

Then I get to get dressed to kill and head off to the mall where we will meet my daddy.

Of course I get to hang out with my dad, who adores and loves me so much!

After dinner, we went for a stroll at beautiful Minato Mirai. It was a bit chilly so that explains why I was so wrapped-up! :D The night-sight in Minato Mirai is just amazing! The lights were all lit up in this area making it ideal for evening dates, strolls and night mode shots!

With my mum and the view of the Cosmo Adventures.
Can you see that giant Ferris wheel farther ahead? It also tells the time.

Again with my mommy and the Landmark Tower.

And when we got home, we bought two slices of cake and a candle in the figure 8 for me to make a wish and for daddy to blow.

"Look Mommy, look! Daddy blew the candle off for me!"

It was a very fun-filled and happy day! Thanks to my mommy and daddy who are always there. But of course, there is just the three of us here. *wink! *wink!
