Happy 11 Months To Me

Yesterday, I officially turned 11 months. One more to go and I would have reached another GREAT milestone... that of turning ONE year old. And I am so excited because I will be celebrating it with my mommy and daddy, my little cousins, my grandparents, my godparents, my aunts and uncles, and other relatives and friends.

Here are a few of my latest photos of me in my summer dresses:

Wearing my favorite summer dress... I wish it were summer already. :D

Using my mommy's cellphone as a prop.

Munching on my teether and posing like royalty. Lol! Can I pass for a beauty queen?

It's still winter here and it sure is very cold outside... But that didn't stop me from having a little pictorial of myself in my summer dresses! Hihihi!

I Wish I May, I Wish I Might...

My First Birthday is coming soon! It will be on February 28th and the next day, March 1st will be my baptism. Mommy and Daddy have decided that we celebrate both of my born days on my Christening Day. Why born days, because February 28th was the day I was born into this world and March 1st will be the day when I will be born as a Christian and formally be welcomed into God's family.

I received this Birthday Wishlist tag from Mommy Nancy and I want to thank her for the thought. Since my birthday is coming, here's my (or my mommy's) 10 wishes (for me):
  1. Good health, happiness, abundance and peace for me and my family
  2. To be able to walk before my I turn one. I can't wait to strut my stuff!
  3. A baby drum set. I just love to tap my hands on any surface and a drum set will be perfect for tapping, right?
  4. A HAPPY First Birthday and Christening with my family and relatives in the Philippines.
  5. A photo shoot at Studio Alice wearing a fairy dress with wings!
  6. To see my first-degree cousins Kuya Miggy (in the Philippines) and Kuya Luis (in Great Britain) who are both two year olds.
  7. Safe travel to Germany and the Philippines. I hope I won't get airsick, a jetlag, and any fits and fuss during the plane ride so that Mommy will be able to relax during the flight.
  8. To be a good and obedient girl to my parents and my elders.
  9. To stay wonderful, pretty and adorable. Hihihi!
  10. To receive toys, clothes, and other baby stuff from my Ninongs and Ninangs and of course, to be surrounded with LOVE and HAPPINESS from my family.
So that's my wishlist. What's yours Ate Chloe, Yena, Yeung Lei, Little Zoie, Mommy Kikamz, Ninang Shals, Tita Kikit, Mommy Ice, Mommy Enchie, Mommy Wendy?

The rules...
1. Make a list of what you want on your birthday...
2. The list should be 10 numbers
3. Post the image of this award in your posting
4. Give it to 10 friends of yours.

Meet My Twin!

I was browsing through my photos and saw a baby boy that looks just like me. Could it be my twin brother? It would have been very nice because then, I would have somebody to play with! Sigh! Wishful thinking!

Seriously watching my seat... I might fall off the sofa.

Trying to hide that adorable little baby girl smile. Will I pass for a boy?

If it were true, that would really make my mommy very happy. She really wants to have twins, you know. Now, if only these snapshots will convince her I do have a twin brother... Hehe! Will I pass for a boy?

Honest Scrap Award

Mommy Umma of Happy Moments, Happy Thoughts never fails to remember me each time she gives out awards and tags. Do visit her site for lots of interesting and fun stuff! Thank you so much mommy for the thoughtfulness! And I am honored to receive and display this Honest Scrap Award.

Honest Scrap Award Rules

When accepting this auspicious award, you must write a post bragging about it, including the name of the misguided soul who thinks you deserve such acclaim, and link back to said person so everyone knows he or she is real.

Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design. Or improvise by including bloggers who have no idea who you are because you don’t have 7 friends. Show the 7 random victims’ names and links and leave a harassing comment informing them that they were prized with “Honest Weblog.” Well, there’s no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon. List at least ten honest things about yourself. Then, pass it on!

Okay, here are 10 things about me:

- I love hugging my pillows! Ask me to hug my pillow and I will do it. With matching big bites on the pillowcase!

- I'm turning a year old next month! - And I will be baptized in the Catholic church too! I am excited to meet my cousins and grandparents and aunts and uncles. Now, I wonder what the celebration will be like. This must be the reason why mommy had been so busy with the computer lately.

- I love tub baths... ask my mommy and she'll tell you that I am never a headache when it comes to taking baths. I would just soak in my tub and let mommy do her stuff.

- I can stand and clap, too!
- Oh yes, my legs are getting stronger and I can manage to stand with the support of a chair, the bed, mommy's legs or the low shelf. Will I be able to strut my stuff before I turn one? Mommy's keeping her fingers crossed! And you must have seen my clapping video. If you haven't yet, please check it out!

- I love to play with unusual things: the CDs, the doorstop, my box of cotton buds, the alcohol bottle.. It's a wonder Mommy is not yet angry with me.

- I love tamago balls!- I love munching on them so much because they easily melt on my mouth!

- I love little babies too! Everytime I see a baby or little children, I would squeal in excitement! They are just so cute and I want to play with them!

- I don't like to wear long-sleeved clothes. But I have to or else, I'll get sick because of the cold. It is just so bothersome especially when it's time to change my soiled onesies into a clean one.

- I can now utter Papa and Mama - but I don't know what they actually mean. Hihihi!

- Joy rides are still my thing. I always look forward to weekends because we can go for a drive and I can get out of the house. Mommy is too lazy to take me out to the park these days. I guess it's because of the cold and the fear that I might catch the flu.
Now I’m passing on this award to 7 honest to goodness bloggers:
Ninang Shals, Tita Kikit, Tita Chie, Ate Chloe, Mr. Richies, Mommy Bonnie, Mommy Ria

The Baby and The Pacifier

These were my pacifier days... I was three months old then when I learned to like this thing called pacifier. But I guess it wasn't really my thing because I outgrew using it quite quickly. I stopped using this when I turned 6 months...

Hmmm... look at me! So serious sucking on my pacifier,
as if my life depended on it. Hihi!

Trying to fight off sleep here... and curious with this thing on my mouth.
It's even upside down when I shoved it back into my mouth. ;D

My mommy was busy ironing Dad's shirts and my clothes
and I fell asleep while watching her do so.

I remember that today's already Friday. How time flies... I wonder what Dad and I will do tomorrow. I will miss my Mommy because she has work but will also have bonding time with Daddy.

Happy Weekend everyone!

The 6th in the 6th

I've seen this tag circulate around blogs lately and thought that it would be fun to do it too! I was hoping someone would tag me :D and was wondering who among my blogger friends will remember to do so when Tita Nancy of Peaceful Mind alerted me that I've been tagged by her! Then I saw the post and it was this tag! Wheeee!!!! I'm finally doing this tag! Thanks Tita for remembering me!

I wonder what 6th photo will show up on my 6th folder... So I was checking out my photo folder where mommy stores all of my baby pictures. She had it organized per month. The sixth folder on the list contains my photos when I was 4 months old. And this is my 6th photo from that folder:

I'm going to take a ride on the subway train. I wonder where Mom and Dad are taking me... I was so serious here, noh? And soooo kalbo too! Hihi!

It was a Saturday, June 28th, the day I turned four months old. Mommy and Daddy decided to take me out for some fresh air. We dropped by the mini-park in our neighborhood and mommy and I played for a while in the swing.
It was really a treat to be out in the fresh air but since it was a very hot summer day, we then headed off to the mall to cool down and then went to the supermarket to buy some groceries. Hence, the train ride. It was only a very short ride - about 2 minutes from our home station to the next station where the department store is located. It enjoy riding in trains. I would just sit in my stroller like an angel (if I am in a good mood ;-) ) and observe the comings and goings of many kinds of people.

Before I forget, here are the rules for the tag:
1. Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
2. Go to the 6th Folder and then pick the 6th Picture.
3. Post it on your blog and tell the story that goes with the picture.
4. Tag other glorious people to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog telling them about it.

I would like to find out what's the 6th photo in your 6th folder Ate Chloe, Tita Kikit, Ninang Shal, Yeung Lei, Yena, Erika, and Little Zoie.

Hope you enjoy scouring your 6th folder for the 6th photo!!!

Decisions...

Each time Mommy buys me some clothes, she would show it to me first and ask me if I like it. She would know if I like something because I would kick and clap my feet in glee and give her my toothy grin. If I don't like it, I would just shake my head. And she would repeat "No, No?". And if I shake my head again in answer, then it's definitely a "No".

I'm happy that Mommy allows me to decide for small things in my life like choosing what to wear. It means that she trusts me to make small choices for myself. One day, I took the liberty of choosing my bib, just because... I took my bib drawer out and checked each one by one, thinking and choosing until I finally settled for my favorite: the baby pink bib given by my Mommytita.

Eenie, minnie, miny, mo! Which bib should I wear?

There, that settles it! I've decided to wear my favorite bib!

Baby You Can Drive My Car!

Hello everyone! It is a fine Wednesday and I hope you are all well.

Well, I was learning how to drive a few nights back and Mom had me sit on her lap so that I can hold the steering wheel better. I even tried to make vroom-vroom sounds! Hehe! Who knows, I might become an F1 driver someday!

Driving seriously. Will I pass for an F1 driver?

A Delightful Thing

Last night, while playing with my Mommy, I was finally able to clap my hands on my own. Mommy has been singing "Clap your hands" to me for ages and she was so happy that I can finally do it on my own! And I am so happy too! I find clapping to be a very delightful thing to do that I do it every so often! Hearing my own hands make those clapping sounds just delight me so!

Here's a short video of my clapping milestone. Hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed doing it!

A Few Hair Then and A Few Hair Now

Here are a few of photos when I was still kalbo (not much hair or hairless). You can really see the transformation from when I was still very small until today. I still don't have that mane of hair but I am improving... Hehe! :D

L: My first photo on my bornday! February 28th.
I do have some hair here, don't I?
R: My passport photo... taken when I was a few weeks old.

L: Don't cha wish your girlfriend was NOT like me? Hehe!
One month old me in my model pose!
R: So sleepy at 2 months. I used to have a hammock then...

L: Minnie Mouse me at 3 months. We just got home from Disneyland here.
R: Oblivious to the crowd and still a baby... Disney Castle awaits!
Must have my photo taken first!

L: A smile after receiving God's blessings on my 4th month here on earth.
R: My first summer donning my yukata at 5 months old.
It was really hot last August!

I've got some hair already here. Very fine strands just like my Dad when he was a kid.

L: Learning to drive F1 at 6 months. Dad is teaching me how!
R: With my Daddy in Zoorasia! I just saw the penguins
that's why I looked so happy here.

And my hair is now visible!

L: Hooded and happy at 7 months still.
R: Just recovered from my colds at 7 months.

And the rest is history... Don't you think that I have got more hair now? ;D

Holding Them Myself

Mommy Niko over at Lover Mushroom raised the question "When do babies learn to hold their bottles?"

My answer is:
I learned to hold mine way back when I was six months old. I did it for the first time when we visited Zoorasia. It was summer and it was too hot. I was afraid Mom and Dad would take it away and drink it themselves. I was too thirsty then that I want to have the bottle of milk all too myself... But THAT was the first and only!

Holding my bottle for the first time at 6 months while strolling Zoorasia.

Me so tiny and kalbo (bald)... Hihihi!

Three months later, I rediscovered the fascination of holding my feeding bottle. I was nine months old then. Mommy was so delighted to see me holding my bottle on my own again and thought that she could do something else while I'm feeding. But she was wrong.

Please forgive the mess at the back! Mommy hasn't cleaned up yet!

I like my milk warm and I love drinking it cradled in Daddy's arms...
even if I'm in an awkward postion!

See, I can hold it all right. But it's just not the same as
Mommy holding it for me.

I don't like holding my bottle as much because Mommy would leave me alone if I hold my bottle. So what I do so that I don't hold it anymore each time I feed even if I know how... I like drinking my milk in her arms you see... And looking up at her round face making funny expressions. Hihihi! Mommy would then say, I am too lazy. Oh no, I am not! I just want her by my side.
