Look, It's A Cat!

Hello everyone! I can't believe it's already June! My Daddy just celebrated his birthday last Saturday and we had a lot of fun. I hope he enjoyed his day with us and with our Filipino friends. This month holds lots of promise for us. We have two sets of visitors coming and I can't wait to meet them. But before I get all excited, I want to show you this creature that has delighted me so much!

Meet Khak! He is a cat... and because I cannot pronounce "T" so well yet, he would just have to be named "Khak". Khak though is not my cat.

I only met him once when we stopped by Meersburg after our chilly ferry ride from Konstanz through the Bodensee (Lake Constance).

Khak is a fat cat. At first I was afraid to touch him, because I was uncertain whether he would pounce on me or scratch me.

But when I started touching him, he did not get annoyed. I guess he loves to be pet. I really enjoy stroking his soft, silky fur.

He makes me laugh and burst into giggles each time he wags his tail.

We even had our moments together when we would just sit... or play head, shoulders, knees and toes!

Khak has made such a good impression on me that I love cats since then!

I Am A Filipino!

I may be born in Japan and spending my toddler years here in Germany but I am a true-blooded Pinoy! I can speak a few Visayan words: kaon, lola, lolo, baho. I eat Filipino food (although I don't like to eat rice anymore). I even love to wear my Filipiniana dress!

This is me.. playing dress up again! I just love this dress!

Please excuse the mess! Mommy hasn't cleaned up the mess that I made again!

Why do I even have one? My Tita Cha bought me one when she went to visit the Philippines so that I could also wear something Filipino for the Sinulog Festival which was held last February. My other friends have a dance number called Magtanim Ay Di Biro and even though I cannot dance with a choreography yet, they still let me on the stage.

My Mommy and Me after our presentations at the Sinulog Festival.

I had a blast at the festival although I had no idea what I was doing onstage! LOL!

I Love Oranges

I have always loved fruits, maybe because my Mommy loves to eat fruits and maybe because I was first introduced to fruits when I started eating solid food. My first favorite is banana. And then apples, and strawberries. Lately, I like oranges. I love the juiciness and the sweet-sour taste.

Here are photos of me enjoying my serving of clementine oranges (or mandarin or Japanese oranges), the kind that is very to peel:

Hey you! Yes, you! Want some?

Stacking and Tumbling

Hello everyone! This is me taken a month ago. I am still a little round here because I wasn't sick yet. Hehehe! And look what I have discovered? It is fun to stack boxes and blocks. I delight at seeing them tumble down and make a crashing falling sound. Another fun discovery for me!

Stacking my milk cartons. It was fun to see them all tumble down afterward!

My colorful circular blocks.

Why Am I Wearing Mommy's Shoes?

Hello everyone! My Mommy, having quite a good memory when it comes to remembering TV commercial scripts and jingles and lyrics to songs, loves to mumble some lines every now and then. I remember her musing the following one day:
  • Little Sister: Ate, why are you wearing Mommy's shoes?
  • Ate: Because...
  • Little Sister: And why are you wearing Mommy's skirt?
  • Ate: Because...
  • Little Sister: And why are wearing Mommy's earings?
  • Ate: Because...
  • Little Sister: Why are my Flinstones different from your Flintstones?
  • Ate: Because I'm going to be a woman soon...
  • (a few moments later...)
  • Ate: Why are you wearing Mommy's make-up?
  • Little Sister: Because! (Giggles!)
Are you all familiar with this TV ad for the Flintstones vitamins? It used to run during her childhood and pre-teen days.

I am still on the shoe part... I still have to look for my Mommy's skirt and make-up but it looks like she doesn't have any! LOL!

I love this pair of sandals of my Mommy because it is flat, and I love to watch the beads as they move and jingle about each time you make a step.

Where's The Helmet?

My Daddy just got home one day from go karting. He was exhausted but despite that, he still played with me. We were just having fun and goofing around. And this is what happened:

Me in a balaclava mask. Where's the helmet Dad?

Do you know what I am wearing? It's called a balaclava mask. It is used to hide the face and is usually worn by bad guys if they want to disguise themselves and hide their faces. But it has more to it than that. Balaclavas are worn to keep away the chilling cold, and is used also by racing drivers as added protection and so that sweat won't make their helmets smelly.

Mommy's Little Helper

I know I have been remiss in my blog updates lately. Why, you may ask? That's because I am soo busy helping my Mommy out!

See? Ain't I such an angel?

P.S.
Mommy thought it was cute because I was trying to help her in the "cleaning". But I wonder why she takes out the vacuum cleaner and follows after me... Is it because I am making the floor messier and scatter back the small debris on the floor all over again?

Hmmmm.....

Having Fun at the Parking Area

This little one enjoyed a lot during our drive going to Venice, Italy. Why? Because I had a blast playing at the playground during one of our pit stops. The scenery was very beautiful too! And the air was fresh and clean! Take a peek and see how much I enjoyed it!

Germany's Next Top Model?

It is getting warmer here by the day and what better way to stay cool then soak in water? But before I could go waddling and splashing in the pool, I must have my own swimwear first. I actually have two, given to me by my godmothers but the yellow one is still too big for me. The green two-piece was just perfect though when Mommy had me try it on.

Goofing around as Mommy puts my two-piece on.

A smile for my Daddy.

Giggling as I modeled my two-piece bikini to Mommy and Daddy. They were shrieking with laughter when I pulled the string! LOL!

Ain't I such a cutie? And I wear it proudly too! Hehehe!

Giant and Fairy Me!

We went on a sightseeing in Linz, Austria two weeks ago and discovered two fun things: being a giant and a fairy. When we got there, there was a festival going and there were vendors adorned in their Middle Age Costumes like the guy below who played his lute and sang an old Irish song.

Then Mommy bought me this nice flowery head dress which I think looked perfect on me! It matched my shirt and my skirt perfectly too!

Me inside the sightseeing tram.

Waiting to board the yellow sightseeing tram.

There's this other place in Linz which I enjoyed very much. I think it was in one of the rooms of the Town Hall, where the flooring is an aerial view of the city of Linz. It was so nice indeed that I felt like a giant walking over the buildings, villages, forest grounds, rivers and bridges.

Happy little Giant me running all over "Linz".

There's even this rotating slab of round stone which I especially enjoyed. It was so much fun that I cried when Mommy and Daddy said that it was time to go.

So happy to be going round and round!
