Sleep... Are You Getting Enough?

As a growing kid, I need a specific number of hours of sleep so that I will grow healthy and my body will develop normally. For a two year old like me, I require about 10-13 hours of sleep in a day. I used to take naps in the afternoons and sleep for about two hours but this would mean me going to bed at around 11 or 12 in the evening, which is kind of very late and I would wake up at around 9 or 10 in the morning. I cannot sleep without my Mommy and Daddy by my side since I am still co-bedding with them. And if everyone in the house is still up, I am up too.

Sleeping little me while on a road trip. We were off to see the old windmills
of the Zaanse Schans in the Netherlands. Taken Spring 2010.
Sometimes, my sleeping routine is disturbed especially when we travel. I do sleep a lot when inside the car though, nestled comfortably in my car seat.

My sleeping pattern recently changed and I no longer take afternoon naps but sleep earlier at around 8:30 in the evening and wake up at 7:30 in the morning. This I think works both for me and my parents because they get to have a quiet evening together and talk about adult stuff or just be together while watching TV while I get to rest for a longer period of time, undisturbed.

What's my bedtime routine? After changing into my jammies and changing nappies, I would drink a bottle of warm milk while Mommy says our good night prayers. After that, if I am not yet fast asleep, we would talk... I mean, babble, nonsense until one of us dozes off.

Hello! I have that dilemma with my daughter, too, she would also take afternoon naps the sleep quite late in the evening. Glad you're sleeping early now.
