Venice and Me!

Venice was a beautiful place! I enjoyed riding the gondola a lot and of course, the water canals all over the place. A city kept alive by tourism, Vienna is a rich city with majestic, old churches and lots of historical monuments. It has a very colorful culture too, very alive to this day. It was the height of summer when we visited and it was teeming with tourist, you had to stand long lines, and really hot too! I was cranky at times especially when it got to hot during the afternoon but it was overall a very fun experience.

Riding the vaporetto, the local transport that takes you anywhere in Venice. Yup! No buses or cars here. Only water buses and water taxis (a.k.a. speed boats).

There is so much to see in Venice. There was the Doge's Palace, the Basilica of St. Mark, the neighboring islands Burano, Murano and Torricello, the many museums and old churches, and of course the gondola ride!

Sightseeing in Venice. Behind us is the great Baroque church, the Santa Maria della Salute.

Enjoying the heat! Behind us is the Basilica of St. Mark.

Playing with the pigeons near the Doge's Palace.

Can you see the line of people behind us? They are lining up and waiting for their turn to enter the Basilica. The line was THAT long!

Giggling happily... gigitik ni Daddy!

More stories from our Venice trip so please stay tuned for more!
