Rollers, Hello Kitty and Me

I really like Hello Kitty! I guess testimony to that is this photo of me, my rollers and my Hello Kitty shirt. Everything is pink I know and I like it!

Last Thursday was Fahrzeugtag (Vehicle Day) at the Kindergarten and I was so excited! Mommy and Daddy even bought me a helmet the previous night so that my head will be protected. It was my first time to bring my Hello Kitty roller with me since my Mommy and Daddy won't allow me to bring it to the Kindergarten because they are afraid something bad might happen to me. Geesh, my parents are so over-protective!

And boy did I have lots of fun at the Kindergarten, riding my roller with my other friends who also rode their little bikes and bobby cars. I have no photos with me though so that I gladly posed for my Mom's camera when we got home that day. Did I have a blast during the photo session too!

Oh, the Hello Kitty roller was a gift from one of our friends here. And I am really thankful for her very wonderful gift. I hope Mommy won't forget to have some of these photos printed so she can give it to her. Thank you, Großtante Lolita!

Out With The Girlfriends

My parents enjoy attending Filipino community gatherings. It is their way of relaxing and catching up with friends. I enjoy it too because that means I can play longer with my girl friends. Some of my girl friends I have already featured here in my blog but there's more to tell.

Last July 30 was the Summer Party hosted by the Sto. Nino Group of Stuttgart-Rottenburg. It was a great day for us kids because it was a very fine day, and the means that we can play at the spielplatz just outside the event hall. 

Up and down we went... it was just the four of us. Who's missing? 

And so it was that me and my three other girl friends, (or should I call them my three big sisters?) namely Madelein, Carmina and Diana, enjoyed an afternoon playing at the swing, climbing and eating muffins.

Too bad Franciska, Diana's younger sister, wasn't there to play with us. She had fever due to the vaccination that she received that day and had to stay indoors with her Mom. It would have been more fun with her around.

I Love Puzzles

A few months back, Mommy bought me a new set of board puzzles. It is an eight-piece board puzzle and has got animal figures die cut and each piece connects horizontally. It's really a very interesting puzzle and I will show you why in the succeeding photos.

I guess Mommy knows that I am interested in them because I keep seeing Timmy das Schäfchen on TV playing with them. Mommy would hear me say excitedly "Puzzle! Puzzle!" which I would pronounce as "poohsell, poohsell" so I guess she got the clue. I just enjoy solving and playing with puzzles.

One cloudy day, I got confused on what to do at home. I still haven't started with Kindergarten yet so my days are confined to playing inside the house. I was wondering what to do then... so there I was, giving my Mommy a questioning look.

WIth so many toys to choose from, it could indeed be quite confusing. I contemplated whether I would play with my puzzles or not. But then again, I chose to play with it. Hehe!

This type of puzzle is a good way for me to develop critical and analytical thinking. No two puzzle pieces fit in the same board so that I really had to think. My hand coordination is also developed during the process.

There, I did it! I managed to fit Bruno the Bear into his proper board!

After attaching all the other animals into their proper card pieces, I only had to connect them properly. This time, both sides of each card have a certain gap shape and I only had to find the corresponding piece.

Here I am, almost finished connecting all the pieces! And you can see that there's a pig, a mouse, a zebra, a frog, a bear and a duck. There is also a dog and the last card contains a puzzle piece of all seven of them. These are called "Die Lieben Sieben" or "The Beloved Seven".

Join Me For A Joyride!

I really enjoy going on road trips with my family. The green scenery, the traffic, the fresh air, the beautiful landscape and city scenes all make for an interesting ride. But there is another kind of ride that I really find very interesting and enjoyable. These rides are exclusively for kids, with lots of colorful cars in various shapes, sizes and colors, and it just goes round and round in circles, following a track. The place where these rides are available are usually packed with people, with lots of children running around and shouting cheerfully, and laughter and music and a dash of occasional shrieks here and there can be heard. Do you already know what I am talking about?

Oh yes, I am talking about the rides at an adventure or theme park or at a festival. It was my second time to visit the Stuttgarter Frühlingsfest but it was my first time to take the rides. And everything was so exciting! I loved every ride that I have been to and wouldn't even get off the car except when my Mommy or Daddy would physically remove me from the kiddie cars. That part is not fun though. Hehe!

Daddy said that he won't take me to the Frühlingsfest next year because it is too expensive, with me always wanting to try out the rides. Hmmm.. let's just see if he can resist. Hihi!

A Bunny Or Two For A Day

These are my furry friends for a day: two furry little bunnies. Aren't they cute? They look quite real, don't you think? At first, I was afraid to touch them and would keep a safe distance because they look strange to me. Then Mommy told me that they are Kaninchen (German word for rabbits or bunnies) and she even sang the song that I love so much that shows a Kaninchen in it. Then, I was no longer afraid.

These are no ordinary bunnies. They can walk and talk endlessly. They make pip-pip-pip sounds for a long time once you switch them on. They hop for a while and stop to make a pip-pip-pip sound and then hop again. They are such cute creatures because their long ears and tails also move while they walk. They also hop about and would come near you for a hug. They also feel soft to the touch and are great companions if you are just playing by yourself. Yes, these bunnies really make good company. Too bad I can only have these furry bunnies for a day because they are not mine... My Kuya Mevin generously shared them with me and let me play with them when we visited them in Switzerland. That was very great of him.

Gone Window Shopping for Toys

On our visit to Zurich a few weeks ago, we chanced upon this kids store along Bahnhofstrasse. It was a very nice kids store because it has lots of toys displayed for children of all ages. There are toys for boys and for girls, for infants, toddlers, little kids and big kids.

I was so delighted to see all the character stuffed toys and dolls that I recognized: Mickey, Pooh Bear, Pluto, Tigger, Barbie to name a few. To get my fill, I grabbed one toy, hugged them and the put them back in the shelf and held another one. I also went to the Barbie section and watched the Barbie movie that was playing for a few minutes. Then we moved on to see some more toys. There were also educational toys like puzzles, toy blocks, and musical toys that were all very attractive. But I was more drawn to the toy train station that was displayed for kids to try out. I don't know but I have a fascination for toys with wheels. I even tried this kiddie bike that was available for kids to try.

But I did not ask Mommy and Daddy to buy me anything. I did not even cry when it was time for us to go.. Well, okay... I may have cried a bit but not because I did not get anything but because I was enjoying it inside. It was enough that I was able to see those beautiful toys. I have lots of toys at home already and I don't even play with all of them.

Having Fun at Killesberg

Pretty flowers... I wonder what they are called.

Killesberg is a very big park and is about a 10-minute ride from where we live. I love coming here because it allows me to get some fresh air, discover and feed animals, see flowers, enjoy a view of the city and have a great time meeting new friends and playing in the Spielplatz. We could also have a picnic at any spot we choose and savor the fine weather.

Killesberg is beautiful in spring. The tulips and many other flowers come to life at this time of the year. Things begin to turn green so that everything looks fresh. And I can also begin to play outdoors without catching a cold.

I love it when Daddy lets me ride on his shoulders.


Delighted to be out in the open field!

This summer would be a great time to visit Killesberg again. With the warm and hot days, the water playground will be open again to the children and Mommy and Daddy said that I could try it out when Lolo and Lola arrive on the third week. I will have to prepare my swim suits then. I wonder if they still fit... Hehe!

Playing The Thinker's Game

I have discovered a fun new game to play. Here's some hints: it requires a checkered board, two sets of stone characters, one black and the other white, and some strategy to win. Can you already guess what I mean? My Daddy loves to play this game and I bet that he will teach me how to play the game properly when I am bigger so that he has someone to play with. You see, my Mommy doesn't know how to play this one. All that she knows how to play is the game called dama, which is an entirely different game.

In this particular chess game, my Daddy was playing against Uncle Dodoy, our friend in Switzerland. It has been a while since he last played so that he was already a little rusty. But a few more games and he got the hand of it again. Although I had no clue how the game is played, it still looked interesting enough. I even pointed to my Daddy where to move next! And what do you know? It's a check mate!
