We moved into our new apartment early last month. You might wonder if we have already settled in or not. Well, there are still a lot of boxes that need to be unpacked and furniture that need to be purchased. My Mommy and Daddy are not in a hurry though. We are just taking things one step at a time, prioritizing things, purchasing what needs to be purchased first.

Fun At The Laternenfest
I had a blast at the Laternenfest last Tuesday evening at my Kindergarten. It was so exciting because it was my first time to join a big event in the Kindergarten. It was the lantern festival and here in Germany, it is celebrated around this time of the year in remembrance of St. Martin and his generous deed.
Many little children like me look forward to this festival because we get to see lots of wonderful handmade lanterns all being lit up in the evening. I had a lot of fun and I was so happy because both my Mommy and Daddy were there. Even Tita Cha, a good friend of ours, came and brought her lantern with her.

We had a small procession around the neighborhood where the Kindergarten was located. We sang songs while walking and then made a few stops along the way. It was a cold evening but we didn't seem to mind. The little heat from our lanterns and the singing and the laughter I shared with my friends were enough to keep us going. Some children lost their lanterns because they caught fire and they cried. I am glad mine didn't go into flames, thanks to Mommy who made sure that I was holding it properly.
I can't wait for the next year's lantern festival. I know that Mommy knows better what to do next time with my lantern so that she wouldn't have to worry to much about me or my lantern getting burned.

Enjoying the Märchengarten with Mommy's New Friends
Last October 6, Mommy let me come along with her on their class excursion to Ludwigsburg Palace in Ludwigsburg. There I met my Mommy's friends from her Intensive German Language Course class and I can say that I liked and enjoyed the attention that I received from them. They thought I was adorable, sweet, pretty and nice and I was flattered. Really. And I was at my best behavior the entire duration of the activity. I did not cry or insist on eating and drinking while we did the tour inside the palace. Eating and drinking is not allowed inside the palace because of the many old and antique things that date back to the 1700's. Although I was hungry, I waited patiently for the tour to end and it lasted for almost three hours! Could you imagine?
After the tour, we went to see the Märchengarten and the Pumpkin Exhibit. The Pumpkin Exhibit is also a very interesting thing to see because you can see various shapes, colors and sizes of pumpkins being formed into different creatures. This year, the theme was seawater creatures and I saw mermaids, whales, turtle, octopus and waves, and there was an owl and other bird species too.

Learning Numbers and Doing Math
Mathematics is a subject that every child will have to go through during his or her school days. No one is exempted from it so that I know that I too will soon have to face solving Math questions. I don't worry too much about it though because I have engineers for parents. I can always ask them for help if I have Algebra equations to solve.
Right now, I don't have to concern myself with all these stuff just yet. I could take things one thing at a time and learn the basics first before I learn all the complicated ones. I guess that is how it always works: from simple to complicated. I could learn basic arithmetic after I have learned how to count properly. My parents could give me drills in arithmetic and teach me how to divide, add, multiply and subtract. Then they could help me have a better appreciation of Mathematics by showing me the beauty of prime numbers: that they are very unique numbers because they are only divisible by one and itself. They could even introduce me to Pre Algebra or get a competent tutor to show me how it works.
I know that I have to do things right the first time. And I know that with things going online these days, I can readily find helpful information on the internet or get online tutoring services, which I can do at any time of the day. When I am stuck with linear equations or don't know how to arrive at the standard form of the equation, I know where to ask.
