Photoshoot With Mommy

I was in the mood for posing and Mommy was in the mood for taking photos so we had some photo sessions a few nights ago. Notice the dress that I am wearing? It's now already a blouse because I have grown tall. Everyone was already asleep so that I had we took photos the whole night... well, not really the whole night. Just until I got tired of just sitting on my little basketball and got distracted by old Mickey Mouse cartoons on YouTube. Hihi!

So, what do you think? Am I model material already or what?

Look Ma, I Can Paint!

I gave my Mommy and Daddy a little surprise last Sunday. What was the surprise? I will tell you in a jiffy. But first, let me do some story telling.

It was a warm Sunday, the sun was out and Schlossplatz was packed with people... you can really tell that something fun was going on so that after church, we dropped by to check out was happening. I think it was a family day, because there were lots of families with small children about and there were lots of booths put up. There was music and laughter and merriment everywhere and some wails and cries too!

I got all excited with what I saw and the first thing that I asked for was a balloon. I just love balloons and so Mommy and Daddy set out to get me one. I got three balloons that day, all for free. Hehe! There were lots of activities for children to try out too but there was one thing that surprised my Mommy and Daddy so much. I made two water color paintings all by myself, and it was my first time! Daddy for one was surprised to see that I knew how to hold a brush and what to do with it. Well, it's thanks to Timmy das Schäfchen.

So what do you think? I must have some painting skills after all, which I have taken from my Mommy. I wish Mommy will buy me some art materials now. I know she is hesitating because I might paint the white walls, which by the way are now covered with scribbles.

Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite!

Young as I am, my Mom has taught me the importance of cleaning. She said that keeping your living space clean will also prevent the bad bacteria that causes a multitude of diseases away. She likes to keep our bedroom especially clean. She would regularly air our beds because she doesn't want bed bugs in our bed. She also vacuums our luggage cases when we get home from our trips. It helps prevent bed bugs transmission, she says. She vacuums the bed and changes our sheets once a week, too. Kind of tasking but true. I guess you could officially call my Mom maarte then.

If you are wondering what bed bugs are, they look like this:

They are very small insects and elusive at that. They bite and the affected area becomes red and very itchy. They feed on the blood of warm-blooded animals especially humans so you can almost call them vampires. These parasites are most active during the night and can feed on their hosts unnoticed.

If you want to keep the bed bugs from suddenly biting you in the night, you might as well follow what my mom does. This will assure you of a bed bug free sleeping haven for those good night sweet dreams. So, don't let the bed bugs bite!

Do You Know Emily Erdbeer?

My newest favorite cartoon series? The all new Emily Erdbeer or Strawberry Shortcake in English. I would always say "erdbeer" to my Mommy if I want to watch this one. The characters are just so cute and I find Erdbeerland or Berry Bitty City very colorful.

In case you don't know how they are named in German, here they are:

emily erdbeer
Emily Erdbeer (Strawberry Shortcake)

orangela obstblüte
 Orangella Obstblüte (Orange Blossom)

Bonni Blaubeer
 Bonni Blaubeer (Blueberry Muffin)

Himbeertörtchen
 Himbeertörtchen (Raspberry Torte)

Pfläumeli Creme
Pfläumeli Creme (Plum Pudding)

Zitronella Baiser
Zitronella Baiser (Lemon Meringue)

Aren't they just cute? I just love them and I always look forward to watching the next episode which will be shown on Nick Jr. on July 17th at 7:45AM. I hope Mommy doesn't forget to record it. So I get to watch another new episode.

How about you? Do you like Strawberry Shortcake too? Who is your favorite character?

A Reunion at the Hampton? Why Not?!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hampton Hotels. All opinions are 100% mine.

Being an expat in a foreign land meant that we had to be away  from family and friends. It also meant us having to miss lots of family and class reunions, and other important occasions like a friend's wedding, anniversary celebration, baby shower, all those stuff that happen only once. I know that my parents had given up a lot of opportunities to be with their friends because they just can't come due to our location. And so I am thinking, instead of going back to their hometown, they could just bring their friends and relatives here for a grand reunion.

Hampton_logo

I know it sounds quite extravagant but because it could happen only once, it should take place in a very memorable reception right? But it is the SUMMER season and hotel rates are at its peak at this time of the year. The only way to get around the expenses is by joining the Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes. Who knows, they could be the one lucky grand prize winner who will win an entire hotel for the weekend and have a prime reception to reconnect with friends. Yes, that's an entire hotel or 100 rooms for 2 nights. And what's more, the grand prize winner will receive $5,000 to cover for other costs and taxes incurred during their stay at the hotel. That means all expenses are covered, except of course for the plane tickets!

If you are not the lucky one, you still have a chance to win one of the 100 First Prize winners who will receive a weekend stay given away  daily for the winner and three of their friends. Everyone is welcome to join the sweepstakes. You do not need to be a Hilton Honors member nor do you need to have stayed at a Hampton in order to join the sweepstakes.
What if I am the lucky grand prize winner? I would gladly offer the prize to my parents. They badly need to have some time to unwind and reconnect with their friends. I know they miss their friends in college and some of our close relatives and there's also a lot going on with their friends' lives that they have lost track of. A weekend at the Hampton will be the perfect way to catch up.

How about you? What would you do if you won a hotel for the weekend? Time to start planning!

Fun With Lolo & Lola

My grandparents from my father's side are here to stay with us for three months. They arrived last June 24th and they have been with us for almost three weeks. The days are that fast!

When I first saw them, I did not hesitate to be taken in their arms. But when we got home, I would not allow them to touch me. Perhaps, I was just excited when Mommy told me that we were going to fetch Lolo and Lola at the airport the morning of June 24th.

Day after day, I gradually warmed up to them. These days, I would find myself looking for them or even say "lolo wait" or "lola wait" in German each time I see them going out of the house or walking ahead of us. I would even join them without my Mommy and Daddy and take a walk just around the neighborhood.

Here at home, my Lolo and Lola would gladly play with me and although they cannot understand the cartoons that I am watching, they would watch them with me. They are great playmates, especially my Lolo.

I know that I will miss them when they go back to the Philippines in September. I am thankful that I got to know them though. And I will take advantage of the time when they are still with us and have lots of bonding time with them.

Goodbye Diaper Rash

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boudreaux's Butt Paste. All opinions are 100% mine.

Diaper rash is irritating and annoying to babies and little ones still on diaper because it is makes them feel uncomfortable. I luckily do not have a very sensitive skin but I also have had my share of diaper rash especially when I got sick with stomach flu. I had bouts of loose bowel movement which meant my Mommy had to constantly clean my butt and this somehow irritated my skin. I was crying because of the pain and I felt relieved when she rubbed zinc cream on my skin. After a few moments, my diaper rash was gone. It was like magic.

Have you ever heard about Boudreaux's Butt Paste? That is just how it works. It is especially formulated to treat diaper rash and soothe irritated skin and best of all, it is recommended by Pediatricians. It is very handy for it comes in a flip cap tube and in various sizes of 1oz, 2oz, 3oz and 4oz tubes, 16oz jar. So if you travel frequently, it can fit into any pocket in a baby bag. It is easy to apply and it washes off easily too. And if you are a couch potato, you must have already seen this product featured on popular shows like the Oprah Show, Tonight Show, Today Show, People Magazine, ESPN and While You Were Out TLC.

Interested? You can receive your own FREE sample of Boudreaux's Butt Paste by visiting their website. Just give it a try and you can finally say, "Goodbye, diaper rash!"

Moments with my Daddy in Milan

You must all know that we have been away on vacation last week, which explains the silence in this blog. I had so much fun with my grandparents and my Mommy and Daddy. I especially had some father - daughter moments with my Daddy while we were away.

My family with my Lolo and Lola with a view of Lake Luzern in the background.

I was getting bored in the car and Mommy and I played catch the flashlight light to distract me.

We left very early two Saturdays ago and because Daddy was driving, I had the luxury of being nestled in my car seat and slept through the trip. And because Milan is more than a six-hour drive from Germany, I was able to enjoy the Swiss countryside while in transit. We stopped by this parking area overlooking Lake Luzern and it was very beautiful!

My Daddy and me in front of the giant Gothic Duomo. It was a very hot day!

Hopping about  at Piazza del Duomo. The brick roads were perfect for hopping!

Our first stop for our vacation was in Italy's fashion and business capital: Milan. There were lots of great things to do here like go sightseeing and visiting the old structures like the Gothic Duomo and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and museums, and of course, go shopping!

At the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery... a vast Belle Epoque
shopping arcade where we stopped to buy some ice cream.

Lucky for my parents I am still a little girl and I still do not have any interest in shopping except for some ice cream! Otherwise, they will regret bringing me to Milan! Lol!

I (Heart) Milk!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

Milk is essential in any baby's or child's growth because it is packed with the essential nutrients that aid in the development of the brain, strengthen the immune system and help development the bones, muscles and eyes. My Mommy always sees to it that I get my daily dose of milk so that I will remain healthy and strong and have the resistance against sickness. Although breast milk is important in the early development of infants, some mothers are not able to nurse their babies because they do not have breast milk. It's a good thing that there are now infant formulas available in the market that contain the nutrients found in breast milk so that infants still get the essential nutrients one finds in breast milk.

Bright_beginnings_1

If you are looking for infant formula that contains all the essential nutrients found in breast milk, then check out the Bright Beginnings Infant Formula with Iron. It's also got a new can design that I find very attractive and very informative. All you need to know about the milk formula and the nutritional information are well written and very easy to locate with the new can design. And one cannot miss the colorful BRIGHT BEGINNINGS brand.

This milk formula for babies is also very affordable and you can get great savings too if you purchase from diapers.com. Yes, you heard me right: Bright Beginnings available at diapers.com. If you are a first time customer, you get $5 off any (1) diapers or formula product (use code: NEW5). Additionally, you can get  $10 off almost anything else (use code: 10PERCENT). Great deal isn't it?

Now who says that milk is expensive? With this kind of deal, you can definitely say: I (heart) Milk!
